Ohio Peer Recovery Organizations (OhioPRO) offers membership to organizations that are Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) certified Peer Run Organizations (PROs). In order to be eligible for membership, an organization must

- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
- Be an organization whose governing body is made up of a majority of individuals with a direct lived experience and in personal recovery.
- Provide peer recovery supports through the use of certified peer recovery supporters. Peer run organizations certified by the state may include peer run organizations (PROs), recovery community organizations (RCOs), drop-in centers, Clubhouses, consumer operated services, or any other iteration of the same.
- Have a current PRO certification through DBH.
OhioPRO truly serves as the statewide advocate for all aspects of recovery and supports all persons with a lived experience and those peer run organizations who provide them services. OhioPRO offers many benefits to its members including various policy and procedure examples and templates, technical assistance, training/education, funding opportunities, advocacy, and so much more. Full membership is offered to organizations who are currently certified peer run organizations. Members will have access to the OhioPRO website’s Members-Only Area where template documents, training videos, advocacy tools, and other information is shared. Benefits also include access to a community of peer run organization leaders where information and ideas can be freely exchanged.
