OhioPRO Lunch & Learn Virtual Training: Human Trafficking

Register today for the OhioPRO Lunch and Learn training series. This important training will provide certified peer attendees with 1 hour of continuing education credits that can be used toward their certification renewal.

This month’s training is on human trafficking and how peers can best support survivors.

OhioPRO is pleased to announce that this training will be led by Amy Cornelius. Amy is the founder and director of Sidewalk Soldiers, a local 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves victims and survivors of sex trafficking. 

This training is on January 25th from 12-1:00 PM.

Board Governance Training Project

OhioPRO is hosting the Board Governance Training Project. This training is for all certified peer-run organizations (for their executives and Board members) and will be a combination of a three-part virtual training and a subsequent in-person training covering various topics related to Board Governance. There is no cost to the training.

2024 Ohio Problem Gambling Conference

The 2024 Ohio Problem Gambling Conference is less than one month away! 2024 Ohio Recovery Housing Conference

Early bird registration is now open for the 2024 Ohio Recovery Housing Conference to be held March 20-21 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Columbus–Dublin. National Anti-Stigma Campaign Survey

The Addiction Policy Forum is conducting an online survey for its national anti-stigma campaign to learn more about how substance use disorder is perceived and responded to in different communities. If you want to participate in this survey, please click the button below.

OhioMHAS Funding Opportunity

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is pleased to announce a Request for Applications (RFA) for the purpose of soliciting applications from non-profit organizations with current 501(c)3 status or government entity to provide the coordination and delivery of a virtual and/or in-person training series for Ohio Certified Peer Supporters or qualified Ohio Peer Supporter Supervisors, who serve Ohio citizens with a diagnosis of substance use disorder (SUD) and/or simultaneous mental health diagnosis. The training series must occur during the period of October 11, 2023-Sept 24, 2024. This RFAseeks to select up to 10 grantees. The responsibilities of the selected applicants will include the implementation of a training program for Ohio Certified Peer Supporters and/or qualified Ohio Peer Supporter Supervisors serving individuals with a primary diagnosis of SUD in Ohio communities. Awards cannot exceed $30,000.
