Last week, Ohio Peer Recovery Organizations (OhioPRO) hosted the 2023 Peer Recovery Summit: Ohioans Thriving in Recovery! Over 450 people from around Ohio and the country gathered at the Marriott Columbus OSU for two days of learning and networking.

This year’s keynote speaker was Paolo del Vecchio, the Director of the Office of Recovery for SAMHSA. Director del Vecchio shared his recovery story and gave an update on the work his office is doing across the country in peer support. Other notable speakers were OhioMHAS Director Lori Criss, OhioMHAS Assistant Director Jamie Carmichael, Faces & Voices of Recovery COO Philip Rutherford, LMSvoice CEO Joseph Green, and renowned mentalist Craig Karges.

OhioPRO is thankful for an unbelievable event and the countless people who made it possible. We are grateful that this summit provided Ohio’s peer supporters a space to learn and grow so that they continue to do vital work in their communities. Thank you to all the incredible peer supporters, sponsors, speakers, presenters, and volunteers for making this a summit to remember.

We can’t wait to see you at next year’s summit!
